Who Loves You Baby!

In other words, Happy Hallmark Holiday, Happy Valentine’s Day, and Happy Retail Day! I know there are more out there to make up. Are you laughing out loud or in your head? No? Maybe? How about now? Oh I thought you would at my ridiculous theory here.

This middle of the month fun holiday can be a blast! But not with added pressure, how about not letting that happen.

We need to love ourselves first just as God loved us in his own image before we were even born. Ephesians 1:4–

“…According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love…” KJV

LOVE

What I am trying to tell you is that you were loved before you were born. Before your parents had an inkling of you to be made. Is that not cool or what?! Well I think so.

I know not everyone has been in a loving home environment or was taught love in different ways. I know it is human nature to show love as we were taught. I am not saying you are wrong and I am right about how I show love; because let me tell you I feel as though the dis in dysfunction found our family and decided to mess with us. And I know many of you out there may feel this way.

I hear ya on stories but what I find amazing is that YOU GOT OUT! Look at where you are now, where you are heading or where you could go.

I know I am not perfect and I willingly tell you that. I regret every single mistake I have ever  made and I highly doubt my kids think that, as they are young adults. They’ll understand my regret and mistakes when they are older. They are too busy starting their lives.

Those of us as parents and grandparents can understand this kind of love, caring for another. Even not any type of parent there is love for family members, even if you do not have children you may have nieces and nephews, younger cousins. Get it? This is good love. No worries for February 14th, right?

What about your pets? Are they not your family as well? Of course they are! On Valentine’s Day you could cozy up on the couch or in the bed with a pet that can do that watching a good movie. I know people who have horses, so I know you really cannot do the movie thing in a little bedroom.

What comes to mind right now is “What the World Needs Now Is Love” by Jackie DeShannon, Dionne Warwick, Burt Bacharach. Simple, right there and as you recall from the lyrics, she can be calling out to anyone. I’m just sayin’. Too many people ruin the beauty of a voice, the sound of an instrument, and the sounds of words. Let us enjoy them.

I shall just tell you, never let a holiday, like Valentine’s Day, even New Year’s Eve make you feel down because you are not with someone. I am sure you will next say and I have said this before, of course you say that you have someone and are in love. Well, I was not always like this, TRUST ME! Yes I was one of those whiney girls at home. But you know what I found a way to deal with my crabby in mature behavior, at least that was me. I needed to love  myself first. I need to fix things with me. I also needed to get out of an abusive relationship that I lingered in. We both were lingering in it. We argued so much as it was extremely unreal. There is more to that story. But I found my way and I am still learning. I will never be perfect. I just want someone out there to know that you were loved before you were ever thought of by your parents. I want you to know you are loved!

What the world needs now
Is love, sweet love
What the world needs now
Is love, sweet love
What the world needs right about now
What the world needs now
Is love, sweet love
What the world needs now
Is love, sweet love

What the world needs now
Is love, sweet love
It’s the only thing that there’s just too little of
What the world needs now
Is love, sweet love
No, not just for some, just for everyone

It’s the only thing that there’s just too little of
What the world needs now
Is love, sweet love
No, not just for some, but for everyone
